Was this in the M&S vision?

It was reported today that Asda has overtaken M&S as the UK's biggest fashion retailer. I find this to be quite a surprise as M&S are specialists in this area and Asda....well they are not. I bet that the M&S vision for the future did not include losing top spot to anyone, let alone a food retailer.
